Harold McKinley is "a true horseman, who stems from the day when two minute miles were a thing to dream about".
From a family deeply involved with horses the McKinley family moved West to Alberta in 1930. As a member of a racing family Harold raced in meets throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Following the war Harold and his father moved East where he raced at Dufferin Park in the winter and Quebec City in the summer.
A "Maker of Horses" he is well known as an expert with your stock and among many others broke and trained Armbro Express, Good Flyer, Take Command, Selkas Song, In Free, Lynden Bye Bye and Cedarwood Chips.
In the years when harness racing was trying to establish itself as a big time sport, the name of Harold McKinley added a great deal to the integrity of the sport. As a man, a horseman, an owner and competitor he represents harness racing.
